Handsome NYPD Blue star David Caruso says he saw red when his actress wife Rachel Ticotin fell for ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER on screen - and it cost him his marriage.
The actor got so angry about his wifes' scenes he even confronted Schwarzenegger on the set of "Total Recall".
"David was livid." says an insider. "Arnold tried to reassure him that nothing was going on between him and his wife, but Caruso simply didn't believe it."
Friends says Rachel found Caruso so impossible to live with that when she returned from location shooting in Mexico in 1989, she moved out of their Hollywood home, taking their daughter Greta with her. She filed for divorce in 1990.
Later Schwarzenegger - who is happily married to newswoman Maria Shriver - said any suggestion that he and Rachel were having an affair was "absurd".
